About McGuire Consulting Group

McGuire Consulting Group was founded by Nancy McGuire. For 20 years, Nancy has worked for and held leadership positions in corporate America. With a diverse and comprehensive set of management skills, she has consistently delivered positive results across a wide variety of settings within IBM and General Motors.

Nancy has been quoted in a variety of publications, including Business Week, Harvard Business Online, HR Executive Online, and The Christian Science Monitor, and her articles have been published in several online sites.

At IBM, Nancy has led professionals and managers in Indirect and Direct Procurement, Materials Planning, Engineering, and Operations. She has managed global teams in tackling cross-cultural and cross-language issues. During an International Assignment in Dublin, Ireland, she led and developed future leaders in IBM’s newly-opened operation.

Nancy’s leadership experiences also include the development of supplier relationships with global companies, including major Telecom providers — at&t, Verizon, British Telecom — and major technology providers, such as Western Digital, Seagate, and SSCI. Nancy’s leadership successes with these companies have been a direct result of her negotiation skills, her time management techniques, and her ability to manage complex relationships.

Nancy serves as an Ambassador for the Triangle United Way.  She is a member of the American Management Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Society for Advancement of Consulting.

Nancy holds a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering, from The Ohio State University. She and her family reside in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where, depending on the season, she cheers for the Buckeyes or the Tarheels.
