Case Study #1

Background: A global technology company had outsourced a significant portion of its delivery business requiring over 150 individual contracts to be executed with its top supplier. With a goal of ensuring enhanced contractual coverage for hundreds of millions of dollars of spend, the project had been floundering in terms of a strategy for completion, and execution towards that end.

Solution: McGuire Consulting Group worked with the company to establish an internal strategy, a management structure for ongoing progress updates and executive decision-making, as well as participating in ongoing supplier negotiations.

Results: This technology company was able to focus it efforts toward the development and execution of a project plan for closing the multitude of agreements. Internal resources were better utilized in working on prioritized work. Legal and business risks were mitigated through execution of contracts.

Background: A newly formed non-profit company struggled with the gargantuan list of decisions and actions required to get the organization funded and business off the ground. Decisions regarding product development and marketing initiatives, along with whether to be non-profit or for-profit clouded the founders’ planning process.

Solution: McGuire Consulting Group worked with the founder to establish a strategic framework which cemented its value-statement, mission, and strategic guidelines.

Results: This company was able to re-prioritize its efforts towards the market it served, and de-emphasized product development. With formulation of a mission statement, the decision to be non-profit was crystallized. Allocation of resources and priorities were easily decided upon completion of the strategic framework.

Solution: Working through the list of activities that needed to be completed, we distinguished items that required her creative nature, her high standards, and that were critical to the success of the particular work effort. Any other activities were prioritized and delegation decisions concluded.
